The arrival of more than one million international patients to Iran in 28/1401, the provinces in the country are ready to accept health tourists

According to Arya Heritage, Director General of the Accreditation Office of the Ministry of Health, Suleiman Heidari, announced the arrival of 1.1 million international patients from different countries to Iran last year.

He said: Currently, 233 international patient reception centers in 28 provinces in the country are ready to receive health tourists.

He added: According to the statistics recorded in the systems of the Ministry of Health, more than one million people in the public sector visit government hospitals for treatment every year, and we have about the same number of international patients in private hospitals.

Heydari continued: Today, about 1% of the capacity of hospitals is dedicated to accepting international patients, which is increasing due to the tripling of international patients’ currency for the country and the development of infrastructure.

He expressed hope that this capacity will increase to 20% by 1404.
