The arrival of the first French cruise ship of the Qatar World Cup to the port of Bushehr
According to Moj News Agency, Mustafa Fatemi, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism’s Internal Tourism Office, said: “Recently, in order to remove some obstacles and facilitate the launch of the country’s first cruise, we visited the ship in the form of a delegation of experts from the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts.”
The Director General of the Internal Tourism Office of the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts said: “During this visit, it was found that this large ship needs a high amount of fuel. It is now settled in the waters of the Persian Gulf.
He went on to point out that the cruise ship was purchased by a private investor from France, adding that the ship has a capacity of 1,700 tourists and 700 passenger cars.
According to the official at the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, the French ship with 9 floors also has the luxury of accommodating 520 tourists per night on each voyage.
Fatemi acknowledged that the cruise ship is also equipped with a restaurant, gym, cinema and other amenities.
The Director General of the Internal Tourism Office of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts reminded: “According to the ongoing plans, this ship is supposed to provide sea patrol services to tourists in various routes, including the coastal route of Khuzestan, Bandar Abbas and Chabahar.”
Referring to the ability of this French cruise to make international voyages, he clarified: The necessary plans for international voyages by this ship are underway.
The official said that one of the most important goals of launching this ship is to travel and make sea voyages to Qatar during the World Cup and said: “Undoubtedly, using this ship, many tourists can be brought to Iran from Qatar.”
Fatemi pointed out: “It is also possible for Iranian tourists interested in watching the Qatar World Cup to travel using this ship, which in this case will bring a cheaper trip for Iranians.”
The official in the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts emphasized: “According to the preparations, in the next few days we will see the launch of the French cruise ship in Bushehr with the presence of senior officials, including the Minister of Heritage, Culture and Handicrafts.”
He described the launch of the cruise ship in the waters of the Persian Gulf as a turning point in the country’s maritime tourism and said: “We hope to see the evolution of the country’s maritime tourism industry in the near future with the increase in the arrival of large and small pleasure boats in the Persian Gulf.”
