The artists condemned the disrespect to the verses of revelation

According to Fars news agency’s art reporter, following the desecration of the Holy Quran, this Mushaf containing eternal verses of revelation in Sweden, which caused regret and anger to all lovers of the freedom of Lordship and humanity, especially Muslims around the world, the artistic community of the country from various classes. They condemned this action collectively and individually.

The artists of the General Department of Performing Arts and the Performing Arts Association, while expressing their disgust towards this heinous act, reacted to this ignorant and inhuman act by publishing a joint statement.

Respecting the intellectual diversity and religious beliefs of the followers of any religion is an accepted principle among wise and developed societies today, and in the third millennium, it is obvious that respect for the holy books of the great Abrahamic religions and the ideological manifestations of each religious school, in The same category and number are considered, and in this regard, disrespecting the rituals of Islam and insulting the holy book of Muslims – the Holy Quran – which has been met with the regrettable indifference of the Swedish government, is a matter that is personal or organized, and is a sign of cultural decline. On this basis, the artists and members of the Iranian Islamic Theater Society, the General Directorate of Performing Arts and the Performing Arts Association of the country, while declaring their disgust at the irresponsible and unwise act of an individual in desecrating the Holy Quran, condemn this shameful act and request for The legal pursuit of the issue, they hope that with the cultural growth and the promotion of spiritual virtues in the age of advanced and civilized man, we will no longer witness actions that keep nations and followers of different religions away from the unity, solidarity and empathy that is needed to be civilized in today’s diverse societies.
