Senior US military officials have advised the White House to refrain from sending long-range missiles to Ukraine for fear of a full-scale war with Russia.

According to the report of this American news network, the defense officials of the United States Army have advised the government to refrain from providing Ukraine with long-range missiles known as the “Army Tactical Missile System” (ATACM) and have expressed concern that sending these missiles could be against targets. be used inside Russian territory and increase the risk of a full-scale war with Russia.

On the other hand, “Maria Zakharova”, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Thursday warned America against providing these weapons and called it a “red line”. If Washington decides to deliver long-range missiles to Kiev, it will cross a red line and go directly to war with us.

On Thursday, the Biden administration announced another large package of military aid to Ukraine worth $600 million, including mortars, mines and anti-missile systems (HIMARS). But these aids do not include the ATACM missile system, which has a much wider range than the delivered missile systems.

It is said that a number of representatives from both the Democratic and Republican parties have only supported Ukraine’s request to send missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers, and the Biden administration has emphasized last month that Ukraine does not need missiles with a longer range.
