According to Moj News Agency, the head of the National Center for Climate and Drought Crisis Management of the Meteorological Organization said: the activity of recent rainfall systems caused the average rainfall situation in the country to return to normal for the first time since the beginning of the wet year.
Ahad Vazifeh added: “Before the beginning of winter, the total rainfall in the country was less than 40 mm, but the January rains caused the average height of our precipitation to reach more than 92.5 mm.”
He added: “These rains have brought the low rainfall situation in half of the country’s provinces to normal and more than normal since the beginning of the crop year.” Before the onset of winter, the amount of rainfall in 25 provinces of the country was less than normal.
