According to Tejarat News, the Iranian Statistics Center published the consumer price index by province and cost deciles in December 1401.
Among the statistics of this report, there is the inflation rate of the whole country and coefficients related to the housing market. Also, the separation of importance coefficients, share of inflation, total price index of consumer goods and services, and point-by-point and annual inflation of this market has also been examined.
What does the consumer price index report say about the housing market?
According to Statistical Center of Iran The inflation rate of the whole country in December of this year is estimated at 45%. This figure was announced last month at 44%.
The importance factor and share of the housing market from inflation
Housing statistics are reviewed along with several other areas including water, electricity, gas and other fuels. The statistics show that the importance coefficient of this category is 35.5%, that among the deciles, the first decile has the highest share with 38.06% and the tenth decile with 62.33% has the lowest share among the rest of the deciles.
Also, the share of these markets in inflation is also present in the data and it has been declared as 0.59%. The first, ninth and tenth deciles have the same share equal to 57.0%, and the lowest share with 0.5% belongs to the second decile. Last month, the highest share with 0.72% belonged to the ninth and tenth deciles, and the lowest share this month belongs to the same second decile.
Total price index of consumer goods and services
The index of the whole country in the index of the total price of consumer goods and services of the housing market has been announced as 360.7%, Lorestan with 7.465% and Sistan and Baluchistan with 216% have the lowest share in the index.
Point to point inflation
Point-to-point inflation generally indicates the rate of inflation in the same month as the previous year. According to these reports, point-to-point inflation this month was 3.38 percent.
Also, Yazd province had the highest point-to-point inflation among the provinces with 5.51%. Kurdistan ranks next with 8.5% and Khuzestan has the lowest point-to-point inflation with 2.17%.
Annual inflation
The total annual inflation index is estimated at 31.5%, which is similar to point-to-point inflation in Yazd with 41% and Khuzestan with 10.5%.
The statistics show that the inflation in the country is still on an increasing path, and according to the coefficient of importance in line with last month, the weak sections of the society still have the largest share of this inflation.
The increase in inflation will also increase the price of workers’ wages, land and construction materials in the future, which will be a factor in the price increase in the housing market.
