The beginning of the restoration operation of the historical house of Tundasht in Shazand, Central Province

Hossein Mahmoudi, quoted by the Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the Central Province, said according to the report of Aria Heritage: “The restoration of the historical monument of Tundasht in Shazand city has started with a credit amounting to 125 billion Rials.”
The Deputy of Cultural Heritage of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Central Province added: This part of the restoration includes debris removal, traditional insulation as well as restoration operations with bricks and wood.
Emphasizing that the historical monument of Tundasht belongs to the Qajar period and is located in Malmir district, Mahmoudi clarified: This building was registered in the list of national monuments of Iran on June 25, 2014 under the number 30145.
Pointing out that there is a unique wall painting in the Tundaasht house, he said: The historical monument of Tundaasht Alia is located in the village of Tundaasht Bala in the middle of the old context of the village where several noble houses are located.
The Deputy of Cultural Heritage of the Central Province stated: This house belongs to the Ashtari family, the local Khanin is a part of Sarband Shazand district, which includes the central courtyard and buildings on three fronts of the work and on one and two floors. The best part of this house, in its northern part, is the room known as Qezel Room, which is decorated with floral patterns and mirrorwork of the Qajar period.
He added: The rest of the decoration of the building includes the brickwork of the north facade, which is worked in the roofs and the exterior in the form of rat teeth.
