The blast at Afghanistan’s Kunduz mosque left eight people dead and wounded


According to the Fars news agency’s Afghanistan website, sources reported an explosion in a mosque in Imam Sahib city of Kunduz province.

The blast is said to have taken place during Friday prayers.

The type and amount of possible casualties of this explosion have not been determined yet. Local Taliban officials have not yet commented.

One person was killed and seven others were injured when a landmine exploded inside a mosque in the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province this afternoon, the Taliban news agency reported on the details of the blast.

The media quoted the officials of the Kunduz Health Department as saying that the health condition of the injured in the accident was satisfactory.

“Initial reports indicate that 12 people were killed and at least 30 others were injured in the incident,” Sputnik news agency quoted its sources as saying.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
