The budget of 1402 is like a joke and cruelty to cinema/ justice means “quality” in budget allocation

Cinema producer Amir Seyedzadeh presented his views on the budget allocated in the country’s cinema sector next year.
Charso Press: The budget of 1402 was announced and 480 billion Tomans were allocated to the cinema sector in the Ministry of Guidance. This figure brought reactions in the cinema and art community.
Cinema producer Amir Seyedzadeh said about this: When I saw the allocation of four hundred and eighty billion tomans to the cinema department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, I was surprised and this figure seemed more like a joke to me than a real amount. This is not a suitable figure for the cultural sector of a country.
He added: In allocating funds to the cultural sector, the governments are obliged to provide the necessary infrastructure for the growth and development of the artistic community in order to strengthen the strengths, correct the disadvantages and sustain the cultural issues of the society. This is not possible unless appropriate budget is allocated.
This cinema producer further pointed out the importance of appropriate allocation of funds to the cultural sector and said: “The private sector does not have the duty to allocate funds for cultural issues, but it can be the help of the government budget in supporting cultural issues.” In various cultural branches such as cinema, theater, etc., until today, the private sector has come to the best of its ability to help the main cultural sector of society, which is the Ministry of Guidance, and has done everything in its power.
Seyedzadeh continued: You can see that in the 1402 budget, all the pillars of the system, such as radio and television, have had a sharp increase in budget, and unfortunately, the Ministry of Guidance, as the main trustee and cultural arm of the country, has not had much increase in budget, which is a great injustice to culture and art. It is the country.
He said about justice in budget injection and the importance of qualitative approach in allocating budget to film projects: Budget allocation should be combined with qualitative approach. It is not possible to divide the funds that are injected from the public sector into the country’s culture equally among all producers. Some producers are not able to produce quality works according to the received budget.
In the end, Seyedzadeh added: If it is qualitative, the producers have the ability to do quality work. In addition, the final product, which was from the place, bears fruit, is of high quality and has a positive effect in advancing the cultural goals of the society.
