Charso Press: The call for the 40th Fajr International Film Festival under Mojtaba Amini’s secretary has been published and according to the schedule, registration for the international section will begin on September 15th and the national section will begin on November 1st and will continue until the end of November.

The details of the call for the 40th Fajr International Film Festival in both national and international sections are as follows:

The 41st Fajr International Film Festival will be held simultaneously with the 44th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution, with the aim of introducing and honoring selected works of Iranian and world cinema in both national and international sections, from 12 to 22 Bahman 1401.

Targets:

Modern Iranian cinema as a shining ray of Iranian and Islamic culture has always been known all over the world for its humane, moral, revolutionary and spiritual values. Fajr Film Festival, relying on these great values ​​and with the aim of supporting ethical, hopeful and informative cinema, in order to introduce the selected works of a year of Iranian cinema and appreciate the artistic efforts of creative cinematographers and provide a basis for the growth and promotion of cinematographic works. Based on national and religious identity, it is held as follows.

1) National section:

A: Short story

Feature films that have a license to make or show in cinemas from the Organization of Cinematic and Audio-Visual Affairs and have not been released to the public before Bahman 1401 and have not been screened in on-demand screening systems online and national media, will be allowed to appear in this section. Was.

Note 1: Feature films should not have been shown in any of the domestic and foreign film events and festivals, except for the International Film Festival for Children and Teenagers.

Note 2: All films of the national section that have been reviewed by the selection committee in the past will not be allowed to participate.

Note 3: The jury judges all the works eligible to participate in the festival, including professional films and directors’ first films, in all sections.

Note 4: The first filmmaker or director refers to an artist who has obtained the necessary and legal permits from the Organization of Cinematic and Audio-Visual Affairs to make or show his movie for the first time, and before that, his work as a movie It has not been released to the public.

Note 5: Judging in the animated film section will be conditional on the presence of at least two films in this format.

Note 6: Films applying for participation in the “Competition of Feature Documentary Films” must have a screening license from the Cinema Affairs Organization and have been admitted to the competition section of the 16th edition of the Truth Cinema Festival and have a screening time of at least 75 minutes.

Note 7: Films applying for participation in the “Fictional Short Films Competition” section must have a screening license from the Cinema Affairs Organization and have entered the competition section of the 39th Tehran International Short Film Festival and have a screening duration of at least 3 and at most 20 minutes.

Note 1: Crystal Simorgh will be awarded to the director of the best animated film, feature documentary, short story and first film.

Rules and regulations of the national sector:

All films applying for participation in any of the festival’s sections must register in the system (fajrfilmfestival.com). The deadline for registration will be from 01/08/1401 to 30/08/1401.

Only real and legal producers can complete the registration process of their film by referring to the festival system and register and upload the information and documentation of the film (picture of production or screening license). The producer of the film will be fully responsible for the correctness and accuracy of the information contained and its consequences. The secretariat of the festival is not allowed to accept films that do not have a production or screening license.

After completing the registration process, the producer of the film must deliver the full version of the film in the form of a standard technical screening file (DCP) to the festival secretariat for review by 09/15/1401.

The selection committee of the national competition will start reviewing the films applying for participation in the festival from 09/15/1401.

The selection committee of the national competition will announce the names of the selected films from among all the films eligible to participate in the festival by 15/10/1401 at the latest.

The producers of the selected films must submit the final version of the film with English subtitles and technical display standard (DCP), stage and director photos, posters, teasers, or a maximum of three minutes of their film for advertising use in the media, no later than 10/25/1401. Deliver to the secretariat. Registration in the system means accepting and fully complying with the provisions of the call and the regulations of the festival and the regulations of film production and screening in Iran, by the legal owners of the films.

If the final version of the film is not submitted by the scheduled date (10/25/1401) to the festival secretariat, the name of the film will be replaced by the opinion of the secretary from the list of applicants for participation in the foreign festival and the film or films reserved by the selection board.

After announcing the opinion of the selection board and the selection of the works to the festival, the producer, by attending the secretariat, will see the form of instructions and conditions for the work’s participation in the festival and undertakes to comply with the rules and regulations contained in it, otherwise the reserved films will be replaced.

The jury of the festival will introduce the candidates for the awards no later than 24 hours before the final ceremony.

No prize in the competitive section will be divided equally between two or more entries.

The screening of films in the festival will be in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Organization of Cinematic and Audio-Visual Affairs.

The guidelines and conditions for the participation of cinemas applying to host the festival will be announced by the festival secretariat.

After deducting the expenses, the income from the screening of the films participating in the festival will be paid to the owner of the cinema and the owner of the film based on the ownership license.

The secretary of the festival is responsible for interpreting and clarifying the ambiguities of the provisions and regulations of the call and unforeseen issues.

D: Iranian cinema advertising competition

The call for this section will be announced in December 1401, including photo contest, movie poster, teaser and announcement.

2: International section
