The catch of bony fish in the north of the country increased by 66%

According to the Fars news agency, quoting from the information base of the Ministry of Jihad and Agriculture, the Deputy Director of Fishing and Fishing Ports stated: The increase in bony fish catch in Gilan provinces is about 46%, Mazandaran 89% and Golestan 46%.

Seyed Mustafa Beheshtian added: Of this catch, the share of Gilan provinces is about 46%, Mazandaran 52% and Golestan 6%.

He mentioned the share of bony fish species in the northern waters of the country including white fish 24%, mullet 72%, carp 2% and other fish 2%.

Beheshtian stated about the release of fish in the rivers leading to the Caspian Sea: from the beginning of the current season to February, 2431 pieces of baby sturgeons have been released.
