In this meeting, Rostam Ghasemi, Minister of Roads and Urban Development, presented a detailed report on the situation of the housing market to the members. After hearing the minister’s report, the leaders of the three branches also decided: the necessary policies and measures for the management of the housing sector should be implemented more quickly and the two-emergency plan of the Islamic Consultative Assembly should be approved as a priority.

The members of the Supreme Council also approved the government’s decision to determine the maximum increase in rents per year up to 25% for Tehran and 28% for other cities in the country, and approved the necessary laws to guarantee the implementation of this resolution.

At this meeting, the proposal of the Government Economic Commission in the field of liquidity management and reduction of inflation was also presented and it was decided that this proposal should be included in the agenda of future meetings of the Supreme Economic Coordination Council of the three powers after careful and comprehensive considerations.
