But contrary to Qalibaf’s statements, cement is still offered at higher rates. For example, type 2 cement, a 50-kilogram packet of Abike cement, is available in retail stores today, August 11, 1401, at a price of 65 thousand tomans. Although this figure is far from the ceiling of 100,000 tomans, it is still 13,000 tomans away from the mandated rate and 29,000 tomans from the commodity exchange rate.
The price of cement is 52 thousand tomans
Nader Ghaffari, an expert in the cement industry, said in a conversation with Tejarat News: The price of cement is 50 thousand tomans, it should not be sold at a higher price.
He explained: The power cut had created turbulence in the market. Therefore, some sellers have bought this product expensively. Many of those who set a higher price are those who previously bought cement at a high price and do not want to sell it cheaply.
He added: There will definitely be no problem with electricity. Because we have made good arrangements with the Ministry of Energy. All factories are in production.
Ghafari mentioned: Some of these sellers hope that the price of cement will increase. It means that electricity problems will arise again and they can sell the cement at the price they bought it.
Cement does not have a hot market
This producer continued: The index of cement buyers should be our sales in the commodity exchange. Note that there are days when nearly 150,000 tons of cement remain without demand. This means that we do not have a hot market and the supply is more than the demand. It means that cement did not have enough customers even with the approved price.
He stated: So it is not logical that anyone can buy cement more expensively. The buyer of cement should note that dealers are trying to keep the market hot for false reasons. Because there is enough supply of cement and 150,000 tons of it has no customers.
Ghaffari at the end: the reasonable price of cement on the market floor is 52 thousand tomans. The support organization and the ministry of security should monitor that the price of cement remains realistic.
