The central bank’s national currency code will soon be operational on a trial basis

Welcoming the points raised by economic experts, Salehabadi said: “The issue of the central bank’s currency code has been raised in the monetary and banking policy-making body for a long time, but in this period a working group consisting of economic, technical and banknote experts discussed this issue until the operational stage.” Experimental form completed.
The Governor of the Central Bank stated that the priority of the Central Bank at this stage is to reform the banking system in the three sides, but important issues that are now being raised in the world, including the national currency code, are not far from the Central Bank. Important measures have been taken and in this regard, in the coming months, we will see the pilot implementation of this project in some parts of the country.
The head of the Monetary and Credit Council, emphasizing on culture and education in this field, stated: in addition to implementing this plan on a trial basis, the necessary training and culture in this field must be done by experts.
Salehabadi announced that the pilot period of this project is six months and said: “After this period, while the pathology of the issue, the report of this project will be provided to economic and banking experts to take advantage of the views of intellectuals in this field.”
In this meeting, economic experts discussed the issue of the national currency code of the Central Bank, proposed solutions for more successful implementation of this plan, and Central Bank experts also answered the questions and ambiguities of the guests.
