The challenges of Siros Hemmati for a theater role and situation

Only “Ashraf”, the daughter of Haji Jabbar, knew that the young man who is in love with her, is a constitutionalist fighter. This was a secret that no one knew until the end of the story.

Charso Press: Siros Hemti is an actor who plays the role of this young lover and fighter in the show “Khane Kharab”.

In a conversation with ISNA, this actor and theater director talks about his presence in this play, about the state of the play he wants to direct, and about the discrimination in the allocation of government facilities for the theater.

Criticizing the discriminatory approach in allocating government facilities to theater groups, he says: When a group has passed Haftkhwan and staged their show, it means that their show deserves the support of the government. Now, this support can be in the form of receiving financial aid or benefiting from state theater facilities and halls.

This actor continues: Recently, I acted in three plays, none of which involved government subsidies. We also had a play reading for charity, which naturally did not receive government aid. While I remember a memory from the management course of engineer Mehdi Shafiei at the performing arts center. At that time, I was acting in a play at the Niavaran cultural center that had a producer, but the producer’s budget ran out in the middle of the performances. Therefore, I very honestly raised the issue with Mr. Shafii, who did not even know the producer, and he accepted, and we received a small amount of assistance, but what pleased me most about this assistance was that it was important for the performing arts center from the producers who are in Astana. were bankrupt or those who dared to step on this risky path to support.

He adds: Who is to decide who is deserving of state grants and theater facilities? If the supervisory council approves to give permission for a work, it means that the work is in line with the supreme goals of the council. So why do they deal in this way in allocating allowances?

Stating that there is no specific procedure for paying allowances for performing groups, Hemmati adds: the allocation of allowances was removed for a while. But apparently, this aid is given to some groups, which is not fair. All past managers have performed religious activities, and on the other hand, the claim of the new management of the performing arts center about the performance of religious works is worthy of consideration. If the plays that have a critical approach are to be deprived of government facilities such as government halls, then what will happen to the critical mission of the theater and its courage.

He goes on to say about his role in the play “Khana Kharab” which after the performance in Malik Hall, is currently spending the second round of its performance in Shahrazad Hall: In this play, I play the role of a young man in love who falls in love with a girl named Ashraf. . He works as a servant in his father’s house to be close to this girl, but at the end of the show, we realize that he is a young fighter and a constitutionalist.

Hemti continues: I loved the challenges of this role. The young man I play is sharp and smart and his master gives him space.

He, who is also skilled in the field of writing, says about the attractiveness of texts that have a romantic and political background: For several years, the writing of these texts has decreased and we have gone to topics that are no longer fresh and new. But I wish the author’s friends would pay attention to how the constitutional era is a suitable platform for expressing some facts.

Hemti, who has been wanting to stage a new show as a director for some time, says about the latest performance of his show: I had received promises from the former director of the Shahr Theater, but I do not have a written agreement, and unfortunately some, including me, due to our modesty We do not allow such topics to be raised. I was performing in the city theater for almost two years. With the change of management, it was decided that my text cannot be part of the call of this collection and its goals. So I went to Iranshahr.

He, who had previously obtained the approval of the former council of Iranshahr Theater for his show, continues: At the same time as the performance of “Meza Meza” in Iranshahr, I also presented my new show plan, which luckily, the then council accepted it and apparently approved it. The council for 1402 still exists. I presented my work before Corona, which was accepted, but the critical conditions at that time prevented me from performing, and now my executive plan to perform in this theater is under review, and I hope that after receiving the necessary permits, I will be able to perform in 1402. And after 5 years, I got a chance to direct.

Hemti informs that his play collection “Seven Dwarfs and Crocodile” and his story collection “Nene Karate” are about to be published.
