The Chinese Embassy in London strongly condemned Britain’s irresponsible rhetoric about Taiwan

According to IRNA, citing Reuters news agency; British Foreign Minister Liz Truss today summoned the Chinese ambassador in protest against China’s actions following the visit of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan and what she called increasingly aggressive behavior.
In a Twitter message, the Chinese Embassy wrote: Zheng has strongly condemned Britain’s irresponsible slogans regarding China’s legitimate and necessary response to the visit of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives to Taiwan, in a meeting with a high-ranking official of the British Foreign Ministry.
The message added that Taiwan is an inseparable part of China’s territory and no country, including Britain, has the right to interfere in China’s internal affairs.
According to the Daily Mail website; In response to the visit of US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan on the 11th, the Chinese army held large-scale and unprecedented exercises around the island, contrary to China’s opinion.
In a statement, British Foreign Minister Liz Truss called these drills and China’s threats a threat to regional stability and added: Britain and its allies strongly condemn the escalation of tensions in the region with regard to Taiwan, which was stated in a recent statement. Group seven is also reflected.
He asked China to resolve any disputes through peaceful means, without threats, use of force or pressure.
A day after the 82-year-old Pelosi arrived in Taiwan amid strong warnings from China, the region has seen tensions that China says will be blamed on the United States. His action angered the Chinese authorities.
In protest, Beijing announced that it would end cooperation with the United States on important issues such as climate change.
China also held its largest military exercise in the Taiwan Strait and fired several missiles near the island, which, according to China TV, is the largest exercise in the history of the country around Taiwan in which live bullets were used.
The New York Times, in its issue on Wednesday (August 12), called this trip inappropriate and emphasized that such actions will only bring China closer to Russia in a situation where Washington has entered into an indirect war with Moscow, as well as giving more excuses. Beijing agrees to take military action against Taiwan.
Taiwan is an island in the east of mainland China, which Beijing considers part of its territory within the framework of the “One China” policy. However, despite Beijing’s protests in recent years, and especially in the current government, the US government has increased the sale of weapons to the island of Taiwan and support for separatist movements in this region.
