The claim of sending drones from Tehran to Moscow has nothing to do with revitalizing the JCPOA – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr News Agency, quoted by Tass, Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia, strongly criticized the accusations made against Moscow and Tehran about Russia’s use of Iranian drones in the war in Ukraine, and said that these stories have nothing to do with the revival of the program. Iran does not have nuclear weapons.

Nebenzia said at the UN Security Council meeting that the story and claims that the Islamic Republic of Iran sent drones to Russia so that Moscow could use them in Ukraine had “nothing to do” with cooperation to revive Iran’s nuclear program known as the JCPOA, and this Meanwhile, according to him, “our western colleagues are seriously promoting this claim.”

He also said that Russia is aware that the representatives of Kiev have not been able to provide proof through diplomatic channels to the Tehrani side to confirm Russia’s claim of using Iran-made drones.

Nebenzia said: Nevertheless, the United States and the European Union, based on their own mental constructions, have come to the conclusion that they can draw the attention of the UN Secretariat to this story without any reason and impose sanctions against Iranian and Russian legal and real institutions.

According to him, it is noteworthy that the insinuation of drone-related claims against Russia and Iran came just as the Vienna talks were entering their final stages.

He further emphasized: This shows who is looking for a diplomatic solution to get out of this situation and who politicizes the negotiations and always undermines the fundamental principles of the JCPOA.
