The addition of the ability to send Instagram posts and rails to close friend followers will give users more freedom to share content.
Instagram has recently announced the possibility of publishing posts and rails for close friends so that users can use it to display their content only to their selected audience. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, announced the news on his Instagram account, saying that the ability to share with close friends has now been added to the Feed and Reels section, so that a more diverse range of content can be shared with a specific group of friends.
Previously only available for Stories and Notes, the Close Friends feature was released in 2018. Using this feature, users can increase the privacy of the platform and expose their content to specific people.
How to share content on Instagram for close friends
This way, when you share content such as posts, stories or rails to your close friend list, only these people can see it. To use this feature, enter your Instagram profile page, then tap on the hamburger menu in the upper right corner and select Close Friends.
By selecting this feature, a green icon will be shared on Stories, indicating that it is only visible to close friends. There is also no limit to the number of people you can add to your close friend list. You can add almost all your followers to your close friends list. However, no one can send you a request to be added to the list of close friends.
If you plan to share your post or rails with your close friends on Instagram, tap the Audience option when creating content, in this section you can choose between Everyone and Close Friends options. .
Meta is currently optimizing its platform to improve sharing on Instagram, targeting features such as multiple audience lists, public lists, and whole group tagging.
Also, Instagram has finally allowed users to delete their Threads profile without leaving their Instagram account. In addition, an option to disable the “Seen” status will also be provided in the next updates of this application.
