The closing of the first “Samar” playwriting festival has been postponed



The closing ceremony of the first “Samar” playwriting festival was postponed due to the extension of the deadline for submitting and receiving large volumes of works.

Theater News Base: The closing ceremony of the first “Samar” playwriting festival will be held in the first decade of March with the approach of home and family. Earlier, the time for holding this program was announced in February.

Also, the works received at the “Samar” playwriting festival by Fars‌ Bagheri, Behzad Aghajamali, Sanaz Bayan, Azadeh Ansari and Mohammad Monem are being judged, and the nominees for each section will be announced in February.

164 works from all over the country have reached the office of this festival and include 107 works in the stage section, 34 works in the children and adolescents section and 23 works in the environmental and field sections.

Of the received works, 41 works have been sent to the festival office by women playwrights.

The call for the first “Samar” playwriting festival was published by the Family Cultural Center on August 8, 2010 and was extended until January 7, due to the welcome of fans from all over the country.
