In the 79kg weight category, Jordan Burroughs, a four-time world gold medalist and an Olympic gold medalist who climbed to a higher weight after suffering a defeat against Kyle Dick in the selection, crossed the Alex Dringer barrier in the final to become the new weightlifter.
Jay Dan Cox, the holder of two world gold medals and an Olympic bronze medal in the 92 kg weight category, became the national team runner-up after defeating Colin Moore.
