The Minister of Roads and Urban Development emphasized the necessity of completing the country’s combined transportation industry to benefit from the sea-based economy and added: When the goods arrive at the country’s ports, they should be transported by rail or road to different parts of the country. Therefore, the coastal corridor is planned to be completed by the end of the 13th government. 500 kilometers of this corridor remain, of which 50 kilometers were opened in recent weeks and another 50 kilometers will be opened in the coming days in Sistan and Baluchistan province.
Referring to the country’s port capacity completion program, Bazarpash added: the Rasht-Caspian port railway line will be completed in the first months of 1402. The opening of this railway line will make the corridor that comes from the north to Rasht city by rail and goes to Bandar Abbas with a road corridor to add a suitable capacity in the field of transit and transportation of goods to the country.
He reminded: Sarkhes-Chabahar railway has a good capacity for the country’s production and economy, and the completion of this line is also in the plans of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
Bazarpash added: Along with the development of rail transportation, the development of road transportation and the development of port infrastructure are on the agenda of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, which will be completed quickly in 1402. Also, the air fleet had a lot of wear and tear, and in a short period of time, a significant number was added to the air fleet. During the first half of this year, the air fleet will be renovated.
He stated: The completion and development of Imam Khomeini International Airport (RA) as the main regional hub is on the agenda, and this important airport will become a reliable international airport in the next 2 to 3 years.
