The conditions for the travel of Azerbaijani tourists to Iran have become difficult / a suitable SIM card should be provided to meet the needs of tourists
According to Moj news agency, Seyyed Ezzatullah Zarghami said on the sidelines of the government board meeting: ECO member countries have over half a billion people and it is a regional economic organization that chose Ardabil as the tourism capital this year.
He further stated regarding the reduction of Azerbaijani tourists’ trips to Iran: the trips of tourists from Azerbaijan, who were perhaps our second source of tourism, have decreased due to the non-cooperation of the Azerbaijani government and the closing of many land borders. We saw a decrease in the number of tourists at the common borders, especially the Bilaye Savar border, where we have 1.2 million tourists. I have visited different parts in the past year and investments were made to attract tourists, but unfortunately they made the conditions difficult for Azerbaijani tourists to travel to Iran.
Zarghami emphasized: Tourism is the right of all the people of the world and this is our slogan and all countries should provide the conditions for this work.
The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts stated: We are conducting consultations and I presented a report in this regard to the government today and I hope that the consultations that are conducted in various departments, especially in the diplomatic system, will lead to this problem. be overpowered
Regarding unfiltered SIM cards for tourists, he stated: We still believe that a suitable SIM card should be provided to meet the needs of tourists, and this is an argument not only for them (foreign tourists) but also for the main collections in the country that provide passenger services. they give, this capacity should be provided for them. After the proposal that I gave, the issue was examined in the relevant committees that are responsible for dealing with this issue and it was approved to a large extent, and I hope that in the next few days, when the result will be announced, we will be able to provide this opportunity to tourists.
Zarghami said: We can justify and recommend domestic messengers for Iranians who go abroad or for foreign tourists. But we need time until these programs are generalized and become a habit, and these are the minimum basic services that should be provided to foreign tourists, and if they are not provided, we cannot expect tourism to flourish.
