The construction budget of 1402 is limited to the maintenance of facilities! – Tejarat News

According to Tejarat News, the budget of 1402 was submitted to the parliament yesterday. Every year, a part of this budget is allocated to construction projects and the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
This year, the budget for the construction sector has been set at 327,920 billion tomans, which has increased by 26% compared to last year’s budget. But what will be the overall effect of this increase on half-finished projects and how much will it be useful for infrastructure improvement?
Construction budget allocation in previous years; Zero percent!
Seyyed Mahmoud Fatemi Aghda, a senior housing expert, told Tejarat News: Considering the state of the country’s infrastructure, it cannot be said that a 26% increase in the budget of the construction sector can be effective to a large extent, but even so, if 100% of this amount is paid, it can be at least Maintain the facility!
He added: Of course, on the other hand, we should also consider the government’s credit situation, which considering the current situation, a 26% increase can be acceptable.
The former head of the Road, Housing and Urban Development Research Center also stated: The budgets intended for the construction sector in recent years have never been fully allocated, and because of this, the country’s development infrastructure is in trouble and needs to be updated and repaired.
He also continued: Due to budget problems in the past years, the construction budget was not fully paid and sometimes it was zero. As long as the government can allocate the considered credit, something good may happen.
86 thousand unfinished construction projects in the country
In recent years, the sharp decrease in government revenues in various fields has denied the possibility of injecting large construction budgets. In some cases, the same allocated budget has been transferred to other sectors and the construction projects in the country have either not actually started or have been left half-finished.
According to the data of Iran Chamber Research Center, there are now more than 6,000 national projects and more than 80,000 half-finished provincial projects, which will take 20 years to complete even if no new project is implemented with the current process of providing credit from the government. Exploitation will not arrive.
