The country’s electricity capacity increased by more than a thousand megawatts

According to IRNA’s economic correspondent, Mapna Group succeeded in constructing 1,154 megawatts of thermal and renewable power plants during 1400. With the arrival of these new units in the country’s electricity network, the domestic electricity production capacity has increased to meet the country’s electricity needs.

These units in the first half of 1400 and before the peak of last summer included the third unit of Shirvan combined cycle steam and the first and second units of rare wind.

After passing the summer peak, the second gas units of Hengam Combined Cycle Power Plant in Bandar Abbas and the third gas unit of Iran Al-Anji Combined Cycle Power Plant were synchronized with the national grid in September of last year.

Also, the synchronized units of the power plant in the fall of last year with a capacity of 355.5 MW, including the third steam unit of Jahrom Combined Cycle Power Plant and the third to seventh units of the windmill were rare.

In the last months of 1400, the second steam unit of Urmia Combined Cycle, the eighth unit of Nader windmill, the portable gas unit of Miyanroud and the first steam unit of Chabahar Combined Cycle Power Plant were added to the list of synchronized power plants.

In the last two months, the fourth gas unit of Iran Al-Anji and the first gas unit of Zanjan 2 (Arian) combined cycle have reached the operation stage, which has a production capacity of 162 and 183 MW, respectively.

The set of synchronized units since the beginning of last year has reached 17 units, including four gas units, four steam units, eight wind units and one small-scale unit.

According to the plans and forecasts, by the middle of summer, more than two thousand megawatts of new power plant capacity will be added to the country’s electricity network and will be operational to supply the country’s electricity needs.

The growth of Mapna Group’s power plant capacity as a powerful industrial arm in Iran and the Middle East has so far resulted in the production of more than 45,000 MW (including domestic and foreign projects) and the continuous development of these capacities continues every year, especially during peak consumption periods with public electricity. It has been done in other parts of Iran.
