The National Meteorological Organization has issued an orange level warning due to the intensification of the activity of the precipitation system and as a result rain showers, thunderstorms, temporary strong winds, and a relative decrease in temperature in North Khorasan, Golestan and the heights of Mazandaran on Saturday, the 4th of September.

The warning of the Meteorological Organization states: Traffic disruption, especially on mountain roads, the possibility of rock falls from heights, flooding of public roads, flooding of roads, flooding of rivers, lightning, temporary strong winds in areas prone to dust rising, damage to temporary structures, including Banners, scaffolding, advertisement boards, breaking of old trees, disruption of the air, rail and road transport fleet and damage to agricultural products are the effects of the mentioned hazard in North Khorasan, Golestan and Mazandaran highlands.

Therefore, this organization recommends avoiding traffic on mountain roads, especially in the afternoon hours, avoiding stopping and resting on the edge and bed of rivers and canals, caution in out-of-town trips, lack of mountaineering activities and movement of nomads, preparation of executive and relief agencies and cleaning. It has recommended the opening of bridges, dredging of canals and waterways, and restrictions on agricultural activities.

Also, the Meteorological Organization has warned about the increase in the pressure gradient of the earth’s surface in the north of Sistan and Baluchistan, and as a result, wind blowing with the rise of dust and in the areas prone to sand and dust storms during today, Thursday, the second of Shahrivar and until tomorrow, Friday, the third of Shahrivar.

Severe reduction of visibility, reduction of air quality, disruption of road, rail and air transport fleet, falling of objects from heights, breaking of worn trees, falling of advertising boards, banners and electric poles and damage to the agricultural industry are mentioned as hazardous effects. Therefore, the Meteorological Organization recommends avoiding unnecessary trips, the absence of compatriots in the open air, especially the elderly, children and special patients, not parking cars around half-finished buildings, ensuring the strength of temporary structures, including covering greenhouses, and limiting agricultural activities in the area.
