The creator of “Toy Story” passed away Fars news


According to the film reporter of Fars News Agency, quoted by varietyRalph Eggleston, Pixar animator, creator of “Toy Story” and Oscar winner, died at the age of 56.

Academy Award-winning animator, art director and production designer for Pixar Animation Studios, Ralph Eggleston, died Monday after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Eggleston won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for writing and directing Pixar’s “For the Birds” in 2001.

Pixar paid tribute to him in a tweet, writing: “Pixar and the world will be forever grateful to him.”

The animator also served as art director on the original Toy Story movie and his work as an artist on numerous Pixar films including Monsters, Finding Nemo, Wall-E, Cars, The Incredibles ” and “inside out” were prominent. “Soul” was his last valid work in 2020.
