The danger of destruction of the memorable radio building/ I wish the museum’s “citadel” would come alive – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr News Agency, quoted by the Public Relations of Radio Show, Mohsen Sohani, Director of Radio Show, said: One of the old and old buildings of the citadel complex, known as the Archive Building, is a place where important pages of the radio’s history were written.

A studio where memorable programs were recorded

He continued: This collection includes various departments, including some music studios where the famous Golha program was recorded, and the song and music unit of the radio, which was managed by famous people like Daoud Pirnia and Amirhoshang Ebtahaj for many years. This building, both in terms of the age of the building and architecture, as well as in terms of its content and history, which has been left behind by the people, elders and famous people who have visited it, is a valuable cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, which is unfortunately under destruction and danger. It has been destroyed.

Sohani clarified: Some management decisions remain unfinished due to the change of personnel and suffer from the pestilence of inconclusiveness. Regarding this building, various decisions were made during different periods of the presidency of the Broadcasting Organization. Finally, after the ups and downs of previous administrations, during the time of the former president, it was decided to become the national media museum, and its responsibility was transferred to Radio Zahar and to the directorate of the organization and the General Department of Public Relations. But this plan was also left unfinished.

The citadel building is in danger of destruction

He added: Considering that this building is no longer inhabited and is on the verge of destruction, it deserves urgent attention, and I hope that the special attention given by the current honorable president of the organization, Mr. Jabali, to the preservation and development of the cultural heritage of the organization , as soon as possible, a decision should be made for firstly the specialized restoration and restoration and secondly its future. My suggestion is that, considering its historical background, it should be turned into a radio museum, and the responsibility of setting it up and carrying it out will once again be given to the voice vice-chancellor to bring a very good culture to the broadcasting organization.

The director of Radio Show said: The citadel complex, including the General Department of Performing Arts and the old and memorable Hasht studio, which is still active, along with the archive building, which has the ability to become a museum, can become a living museum, or as the French say, living museum. to return to the complex with the presence of eager people. At all, this Studio Eight was designed from the beginning with a capacity of three hundred people for the audience. In the 1960s and 1970s, despite the war conditions and under the rain, people came to this studio to watch the performance of the program “Friday morning with you” and gave it an exciting atmosphere with their presence. This event can be repeated once again with the presence of people with the artists of radio shows and in the form of a living museum of the citadel. Also, this opportunity can be a place to take advantage of the capacity of special and popular genres of theater such as: “applied theater”, “theatre in the environment”, “heritage theater (museum) and recreation of the past” etc. Specialized fields that are used a lot in the world today, especially for education and culture.

Sohani further added about radio shows: Eighty-three years have passed since the establishment of radio in Iran. In this passage, since 1321, we have witnessed the emergence of radio shows as an attractive, imaginative and inspiring format for a wide range of our audience, but on the other hand, in this historical course, various social contexts, media tools, and according to that, the consumption culture and the audience’s taste as well. have undergone deep and serious transformations, as a result, we must also think about innovation according to the conditions and contexts of the day. Of course, this does not mean that we ignore the traditions of the precious heritage of radio shows that we are entrusted with.

The need to preserve the citadel building as a legacy of the past

He said: “We have a heavy duty in the General Department of Performing Arts of Radio and Radio Show, which is one of the oldest departments of the Broadcasting Organization and the Vice-Chancellor of Voice.” On the one hand, we must preserve and respect the cultural heritage inherited from our ancestors, and on the other hand, we must keep an eye on the conditions of today’s audience, especially the young generation, and the emerging fields and fields and future horizons, so that we can be creative and innovative. And the use of new communication platforms will continue to witness the growth and development of radio shows. Of course, an important part of this cultural heritage of our veterans in the citadel includes an assembly of the country’s culture and art leaders. It is a great honor to be able to guard these loved ones.

The manager of Radio Show stated: We tried to have a professional and scientific approach and strategic planning in various fields in the field of management on an annual basis, despite the limitations in the budget, which unfortunately does not meet our ideals, but we are trying despite this. Let’s advance the growing path within the best and most optimal exploitation of the existing financial capacity. In this regard, we proceeded very research-oriented and had continuous communication with scientific and academic institutions and tried to undertake a strategic, scientific, specialized, program-oriented and research-oriented media management to achieve the goals.

Sohani emphasized: Radio is still the beating heart of the media with its special and distinctive features. Years before the web and the internet were created, it was the first interactive media, especially the radio show, because the audience of the radio show is an actual director who imagines in his mind, chooses the actors, designs the sets, costumes and decor. gives and imagines a world that is the responsibility of the director in television and visual media. This fantastic possibility makes radio and radio shows have special and exceptional capacities that cannot be replaced by competitors.

But when we talk about media, this is a big concept and we have to accept that in today’s era and today’s media equations, even the era of television has come to an end. Virtual space and web-based media have gained a wider audience and this has changed the audience’s consumption style.

He continued: This era is considered to be the era of cross media. It means that the media should work together, interact more effectively with the audience, and radio is no different. Of course, this policy is strictly followed in the voice department under the title of basic voice creative media.

The manager of Show Radio added: Currently, we at Show Radio and the Department of Performing Arts of Radio pay special attention to web-based fields, podcast production, and new interdisciplinary genres. In this regard, we had very good experiences in the last two years. Including: production of interactive shows as the first example in the world, design and production of the Radio Plus genre, works in partnership with television for the virtual space, etc. The sound was also played as a video. These are new experiences that we have done with pride and we have to complete them step by step.

Suhani stated: My wish is to remove the financial and administrative obstacles in the radio and fulfill the demands of the colleagues so that we can preserve the precious capital of cultural heritage, especially the human capital, from the valuable capacities of the radio in this bright arena and the beating and energetic heart. Let’s benefit from the media and create bright horizons for it.

In the end, the director of the General Department of Performing Arts of Radio and Radio Show said: On National Radio Day, special programs such as “Voice of the People” at 8:30, “Studio Eight” at 18:15 and “Mubarak Bad” at 20:00 will be broadcast. The radio show is intended to commemorate the National Radio Day with the people who are the biggest supporters of the media.
