The defendants in the “Drake” case had claimed that the price of this digital currency was ahead of Bitcoin

Ali Salehi, the prosecutor of Tehran, recently said that according to the plaintiffs of the “Drake” digital currency case, the defendants deceived the victims with claims such as this token surpassing Bitcoin in terms of price and having a license from the Central Bank. Massoud Satayshi, the spokesman of the judicial system, had previously said that the indictment of the digital currency defendants has been issued and the case has been sent to the Revolutionary Court.

The prosecutor of Tehran stated:
The first-tier defendant, based on the investigation, is the publisher of “Drake” cryptocurrency, has a criminal record for seducing people to trade in securities leading to creating false prices and non-compliance with the regulations in publishing advertisements for the public offering of securities and arrest in terms of Inability to deposit collateral.
He also added that the accused has caused disruption in the country’s economic system:
In the current case, in addition to the supply of illegal cryptocurrency, by raising its price without support, deceiving customers and defrauding the country’s economic system, the defendant has acted to disrupt the economic system.
Salehi stated that the target market of this cryptocurrency was inside the country.
According to Shakat’s statements, the defendants with claims such as “Drake” cryptocurrency surpassing Bitcoin in terms of price, its becoming the main currency in financial transactions and replacing it with the national currency, evading sanctions by this cryptocurrency, receiving goods and dollars with it and Having a license from the central bank had made Shakat and other people hope for unrealistic things.
Explaining part of the indictment, he said:
The funds seized from the defendants have only covered the payment of 60% of Shakat’s claims, which have been submitted to the court by presenting 18 items of their property.
