The details of the handing over of automobile manufacturers from the words of the Minister of Security/assessing the assets of automobile manufacturers with the issuance of 1700 expert reports

According to Fars news agency, the 8-point order of the President to the Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade to improve the situation of the country’s automobile industry was officially communicated in the middle of March last year.

Based on this, Ayatollah Seyed Ebrahim Raisi emphasized in paragraph “8” of this decree on handing over the government management of Iran Khodro and Saipa automobile manufacturing companies to the non-governmental sector, and in this case he stated that this matter should be determined immediately.

* Removal of mandatory pricing of the products of the two largest car manufacturers in the country

Hossein Gurbanzadeh, the head of the Privatization Organization, said in his latest statement about the transfer of shares of automobile manufacturers: “Three meetings have been held in three universities with the presence of the Minister of Economy and the officials of the Ministry of Security and the activists of the private sector of the automobile industry.

He mentioned the necessity of handing over the shares of car manufacturers based on consensus, predictability and regulation of the car industry and said: the perspective of car regulation should be made clear for buyers so that the interests of the private sector can be adjusted based on that in the next 5 years.

He said the important point of this regulation is the removal of mandatory car pricing and added: The removal of mandatory pricing is a prelude to the benefit of the two automobile companies from the management of the private sector.

Gurbanzadeh added: After the removal of mandatory car pricing, it is possible to transfer shares of car manufacturers.

* Minister Samat: One of the car manufacturers will be handed over soon

Based on this, Seyyed Reza Fatemi Amin, referring to the evaluation and pricing of the car manufacturers’ assets as the first stage of privatization, said: Considering the extensive assets, this issue took nearly 6 months.

Minister Samet stated: Within 6 months, 1700 expert notices were issued by the official justice experts to finalize the pricing.

Regarding the time of handing over shares of car manufacturers, he said: According to the coordination, a license has been issued for one of the handovers, which will be put up for auction soon.
