The “Digital Object Identity” consortium was formed at Kurdistan University

According to IRNA, Rahmat Sadeghi said in an interview with reporters on Wednesday: “Digital Object Identifier is a universal and unique code that is used to identify a published standard object such as a scientific article, book, dissertation, registration Invention, software or any other object is used.
He added: “DOI codes are managed and registered by the International DOI Foundation, and when a DOI code is issued for a work, people can easily access all the information and metadata of that work with just one click on it.”
The President of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences added: The DOI Center of Kurdistan University, as a member of the consortium of the International DataCite Organization (DataCite), has provided the necessary hardware infrastructure and software systems for issuing a stable DOI code.
Sadeghi continued: “With the formation of this consortium, the DOI Center of Kurdistan University can provide DOI codes directly, directly, as soon as possible and for scientific products of the country, including scientific articles, books, dissertations, patents and similar cases.” Issue at the lowest financial cost.
He stated that universities, research institutes, institutes and scientific associations throughout the country and the Middle East can apply for a DOI code for their scientific achievements through the website of the DOI Center of Kurdistan University at http://doi.uok.ac.ir, Emphasized: Due to the global nature of the DOI code, the published effects will be able to be discovered, viewed and more effective around the world.
Also, due to the storage of relevant information and metadata in internal servers, this center will also provide data analysis services.
He said: Individuals can apply for the DOI code through the DOI Center of the University of Kurdistan, using two methods of membership in the consortium of the University of Kurdistan and receive the code with the prefix of the University of Kurdistan.
In the first method, DOI codes will be issued for each member of the consortium with a special prefix that the candidates can join the consortium through the link https://doi.uok.ac.ir/fa/fa-cmember, and for the second method, individuals They can apply through https://doi.uok.ac.ir/fa/fa-issuance.
