The Dimension 8300 chip was introduced with the ability to run productive artificial intelligence models

Today, MediaTek officially unveiled a new powerful chip called Dimension 8300, which can enable the use of artificial intelligence models such as ChatGPT in many mid-range phones. This chip, which has a very fast Wi-Fi and GPU speed, will be released in the Redmi K70 series in some time.
Specifications of Dimension 8300 MediaTek chip
The Dimension 8300 chip uses a processor with a three-cluster design. This CPU has one Cortex-A715 core at 3.35 GHz, three Cortex-A715 cores at 3.2 GHz and four Cortex-A510 cores at 2.2 GHz. Mediatek claims Their new chip is 20% faster than the previous generation and 30% more optimized in terms of energy consumption.
The Dimensity 8300 chip uses the Mali-G615 MC6 graphics processor, which has a frequency of 1.4 GHz and is 60% more powerful and 55% more optimized than its previous generation. This chip also supports LPDDR5X memory with a speed of 8533 MB/s and UFS 4.0.
Mediatek did not lag behind the artificial intelligence trend and unveiled a processor called 780 APU, which is 3.3 times faster than the previous generation in artificial intelligence processing. This processor can run large language models with up to 10 billion parameters on the device itself.
The Dimension 8300 also features a new 14-bit HDR ISP, the Imagiq 980, capable of 4K 60fps HDR video recording. This chip also performs better in terms of noise reduction, bokeh effect and other photography features by using an NPU.
The Dimension 8300 image signal processor supports up to 320 megapixel cameras or three 32 megapixel sensors simultaneously. This chip uses Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 and can work with displays up to 180Hz FHD+ or 120Hz QHD+. This chip is also compatible with dual displays (although more details about this have not been published). It is possible that this feature is related to foldable phones.
