According to Mehr News Agency, citing Russia Today, a source in the Iraqi government revealed that a new meeting between Saudi and Iranian diplomats will be held in Iraq.

This source said: The previous 5 meetings held between Riyadh and Tehran in Baghdad were at the security and intelligence levels. But the upcoming meeting will be at the diplomatic level.

He added: This meeting will be held in Baghdad in the future based on the initial agreement between the Saudis and Iranians.

Russia Daily reported: Before this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran announced that Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi had brought messages from Saudi Arabia regarding bilateral negotiations to Iran.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fawad Hossein emphasized the other day: During Al-Kazemi’s visit to Riyadh, Iraq’s support for Iran-Saudi talks was emphasized. During this trip, the dispute between Riyadh and Tehran was raised over the Yemen issue, and the Iraqi Prime Minister suggested making the talks between Tehran and Riyadh public.
