In the meantime, Iran’s territorial location has provided a suitable advantage in the movement and transit of goods, especially for Central Asian countries, the benefit of which depends on the development of the country’s rail transportation capacity. Iran enjoys a strategic and important position due to its location in important communication corridors, the presence of entry points on the coasts of the Persian Gulf and the Oman and Caspian seas, the possibility of connecting important cargo centers to the rail transportation network in the region, and experts in this field For a long time, they warned the past governments of the need to pay attention and develop the railway industry.

With regard to the mentioned effective and extensive measures, as well as the significant growth of the transfer of transit goods, which is confirmed by the achievement of the rail transit record and the export record from the rail borders, as well as the attention of the authorities on this issue in the form of international agreements and negotiations, as well as internal meetings.
