The discovery of the body of the Russian critic after a month
The body of Alexei Medvedev, film critic and director of several film festivals in Russia, was found in an area near the railway in Moscow after a month of disappearance.
Charso Press: TASS news agency of Russia, quoting the rescue teams, announced that the lifeless body of “Alexei Medvedev”, the film critic and curator of prominent Russian film festivals, who had been missing since June 2023, was finally found next to the railway in an area of Moscow by the rescue teams and Search found.
Medvedev was born in 1969 in Moscow and was 54 years old and studied at the Russian State Institute of Cinematography. In the 1990s, he pursued his career as a journalist, film critic and translator, and from 2000 to 2006 he was a member of the selection committee of the Moscow International Film Festival.
“Alexei” is also the organizer of the “Sakhalin” (Edge of the World) festival and the program manager of the “Message to Man” festival in St. Petersburg, the program manager of the “Mirror” festivals (2011), the program manager of the “Mirror” festival (2011). Between 2009 and 2012, “Two in One” was responsible for the selection of the Russian cinema section in the “Les cinemas du Monde” section of the Cannes Film Festival and was also responsible for the selection of the Russian short film at the Ajyal International Film Festival in Doha.
During his artistic career, Medvedev has also been a member of the jury of Jeshvara Pilsen (Czech Republic), film festivals in Cluj (Romania), Krakow (Poland).
