The draft document of the Digital Rial project was officially published by the Central Bank

The Central Bank has officially published the draft document of the Digital Rial project, Iran’s national digital currency, on its website. Central Bank has said that the purpose of publishing this document is to enlighten public opinion and explain the policies of this organization in the field of digital money.
According to Erzdigital, the initial version of this document was published unofficially, and now the central bank has officially published version 2-2, which is being edited, with some changes.

Public Relations of the Central Bank has said that the first official release of digital Rial was made by the Banknote Reserve Supervisory Board in line with the implementation of the resolution of the Money and Credit Council in September of this year.

After the initial limited release, the digital Rial released through two operating banks and with a controlled user community has been pre-tested and currently the process of supplementary checks is continuing to start the trial period. Also, based on the planned arrangements, soon with the third bank joining this project, the pre-trial implementation period will be completed and with the beginning of the trial implementation phase, the scope of use, the number of users and the amount allocated to this project will also be expanded. It is worth mentioning that the entry of all operating banks into this project by the end of the trial period is one of the other planned goals in its implementation.
At the end of its report, the Central Bank has asked monetary and banking experts to submit their suggestions regarding the digital Rial to this organization.
