The efforts of the director of Fajr Theater in Russia to attract theatrical works

According to Fars news agency, Mahdi Hamedsagayan, the secretary of the 42nd Fajr International Theater Festival, met with Mr. Mikhail Shudkovi, the special representative of the Russian president for international cooperation, during his trip to Russia last week. The discussions of this meeting were about the promotion of cultural and artistic relations between the two countries, the development of artistic cooperation and the international part of Fajr Theater Festival.

In this meeting, Mikhail Shudkovi spoke about the importance of communication with Iranian theater artists for Russia and expressed his hope that Iranian theater groups will also participate in Russian theater festivals.

He said: In December, a delegation from the Ministry of Culture of Russia will travel to Iran to discuss the development of artistic cooperation between the two countries.

Shudkovi expressed his interest that a delegation of Iranian theater officials will travel to Moscow in the coming months and get to know Russian contemporary theater closely, which could result in a long-term agreement for joint cooperation.

Mehdi Hamedsagayan, the secretary of Fajr International Theater Festival, also expressed his views on inviting prominent works and selected plays from Russian theater and emphasized: plays will enter this year’s Fajr Festival that can show the high level of Russian theater to artists and theater enthusiasts in show Iran

In this meeting, the secretary of the 42nd Fajr Festival suggested that the Russian Theater Academy introduce its prominent professors to the Fajr Festival Secretariat to hold a training workshop, which was welcomed.
