Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi praised the Egypt-Israel peace agreement signed 40 years ago and called on regional leaders and officials to follow the late Egyptian President Mohammed Anwar Sadat and abandon established literature and concepts.

Egypt was the first Arab country to sign a peace agreement with Israel in 1979, but relations have been described as “weak” for years, limited to security and political co-operation, until a recent improvement. Economic relations were established.

Earlier this week, an Egyptian plane landed for the first time at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv; The flight, described by Israeli Airlines as historic, was also attended by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Sharm el-Sheikh last month; A visit that was the first of its kind in the last 10 years.

Egypt on Wednesday marked the 48th anniversary of the October 6, 1973 war. Egypt.

Al-Sisi, while paying tribute to the Arab nations that stood by and supported Egypt in this war and before, said: “In the crisis of 1967, Egypt was not alone in its battle and its Arab brothers supported it with their forces, weapons and cash aid.” This support was one of the most important factors in the strength of Egypt to continue the struggle and good preparation for the victory of October, and Egypt will never forget these Arab brothers.

The President of Egypt praised the late President Mohammed Anwar Sadat, who decided to go to war before taking the path of peace and took responsibility for it, and praised Anwar Sadat’s peace plan as his power to put aside established literature. He described and said: “God gave him the power to realize that these literatures, cultures, principles and concepts will never continue after the October war and we must go through them with new concepts, therefore the plan of peace.” The key was laid, and more than 40 years after that plan, it was proven that this dialogue is a reality that has now been realized, and what we are witnessing now is that this perception and breaking of this taboo was premature.

RP Sisi also called on the leaders and officials in charge of crisis management and issues in the region to go beyond the established literature and concepts and move to better depths, as Anwar Sadat did.

Jordan is the second Arab country to sign a peace agreement with the Israeli regime in 1994, which was suspended until it was resumed last year along with the normalization agreements of the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.

At the end of his speech on the anniversary of the October 6 war, al-Sisi issued a pardon order for a number of prisoners, and a high-level committee of security officials headed by the Deputy Interior Minister was tasked with reviewing prisoners’ files and selecting pardons.
