The end of negotiations to lift sanctions in Vienna – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news


According to the Mehr news agency, Stefani Lichtenstein, an Austrian reporter of the “Foreign Policy” magazine, quoted senior officials of the European Union on Twitter and announced that the negotiations to lift the sanctions have ended and the parties to the JCPOA will leave Vienna within the next few hours.

According to the unnamed EU officials, “the European Union discussed the best possible agreement, (and from now on) it is up to the JCPOA parties to accept this agreement or not.”

Journalists and Western officials are claiming that the negotiations have ended and the final text of the agreement has been prepared. Today, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country, in response to the journalists’ question about the Wall Street Journal’s claim that the final text of the agreement is likely to be prepared in Vienna within the next few hours, He said: Considering the continuation of the discussions on some important remaining issues, we are not yet at a stage where we can talk about the finalization of the text.

Referring to the 4 days of intensive negotiations in Vienna, this Foreign Ministry official added: We had intensive negotiations regarding some remaining issues to ensure that our country’s considerations and concerns are met. During these talks, we shared our positions with the opposite parties and relative progress was made in some issues. But we are not at the final stage yet, the outcome of the talks depends on the will of the other side to make the necessary political decisions.
