It is authorized to inform that the executive instructions of the rules governing the entry and exit of rials with “passenger” subject to the letter number 01/11903 dated 1/22/1401 of the Honorable Deputy for Legal Affairs and Parliament Affairs have not been approved by the Money and Credit Council so far and cannot be relied upon.

However, according to the resolution of the meeting of one thousand two hundred and forty-one currency and credit council dated 9/21/1396, the entry and exit of the currency of the country by each passenger, both Iranian and foreign nationals, up to fifty million rials (50,000,000 ) is unimpeded and according to Note (5) of Article (2) of the Law on Combating Goods and Currency Smuggling, “importing, exporting, or attempting to export Iranian currency without complying with the criteria determined by the Money and Credit Council, which is within the legal powers of this The council has been determined, subject to the verification of knowledge and intention in the relevant authorities, based on the existing evidences and emirates, it will also be subject to a fine for the recent violation.

Based on this, considering that it has been announced in the customs correspondence that some foreign nationals have carried more than the allowed amount of the country’s current currency when they entered the country, the act committed in case of verification of knowledge and intention in the competent authorities and in case of detection by the said authorities It is a violation and is subject to the fine mentioned in the mentioned note.

Therefore, according to this circular, the maximum allowed entry and exit of Rials for each passenger is 5 million Tomans, while according to the latest announcement of the Central Bank, previously, the amount of entry and exit of Rials by each passenger is a maximum of 500,000 Tomans. has been allowed
