The fire flared up again in the reeds of the Anzali lagoon/helicopters fly again to monitor the fire

According to Moj Gilan news agency, Anzali lagoon which had been on fire since Friday morning, but after 19 hours of efforts by the rescue forces and the use of three firefighting helicopters, the fire was contained again in the same area on Friday evening.
Currently, the fire brigade and environmental forces are present at the site and the smoke caused by the fire has engulfed the city of Anzali.

Acting Deputy of Coordination and Civil Affairs of the Governor of Gilan said: The fire in the reeds of the wetland has been completely extinguished, but the smoke caused by this fire has covered the sky of Anzali city, especially the bypass section.
He added: 2 IRGC aerospace helicopters and a Red Crescent helicopter and 50 ground rescuers were used to control the fire, and in a few minutes, the helicopters will again go to the sky of the lagoon to observe how the fire is burning.
Mehrdad Rezapour, head of the Bandar Anzali fire department, said: “With the investigations, we found out that a fire has started again in the Chirag Pashtan area of the Anzali International Wetland, which has caused an increase in smoke in the urban area of Anzali.”
He added: Due to the sharp increase in the volume and concentration of smoke on the Anzali ring road, there has been a severe decrease in visibility, and the traffic police have blocked this road to prevent accidents.
