According to the report of Fars International Economic Group, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Oman announced that an “Indian Express” airliner, which was bound for the Delhi airport in India, suffered a technical fault and fire before taking off from Muscat International Airport. It was in one of its engines.
According to this organization, due to crowding during the evacuation of this plane, some passengers suffered minor injuries.
“Indian Express” in a statement confirming this incident said that this incident is being investigated by regulatory authorities as well as the airline’s flight safety department. A relief flight has also been arranged to bring passengers back from Muscat later this evening.
This plane was carrying 145 passengers including 4 babies.
