The first Russian fighter is stationed in eastern Syria


According to Fars News Agency International Group, news sources reported the presence of Russian Sukhoi fighters in eastern Syria, which is the first time this has happened.

“Reliable sources” told al-Mayadin that the fighter was conducting reconnaissance operations for the first time in the Qamishli sky. Russian helicopters, along with Russian patrols, are conducting reconnaissance operations in the area.

According to these sources, the fighter will remain permanently at Qamishli Airport, and the Russian side is expanding the airport to be able to deploy more fighters and helicopters and turn it into an air base.

Much of eastern and northeastern Syria is occupied by US terrorist forces and Kurdish militias affiliated with the country.

The Syrian government has repeatedly stated that the US presence in the region is occupying and that it must leave the country. Most of Syria’s oil resources are located in these areas, where the United States is smuggling Syrian oil with the help of terrorists.
