The flow of resistance prevented the formation of a “new Middle East.”
According to Qom IRGC Public Relations on Tuesday, Hossein Akbari, in the first ceremony commemorating the Afghan martyrs of the Holy Defense in the Imam Complex of Qom, during a speech emphasizing the importance of explaining the role of Afghan warriors during the Holy Defense, said: It is false, and the whole world, both West and East, were united in anti-religion.
Akbari, emphasizing that God’s promise has always been and will be the victory of the warriors, said: “The era of holy defense is also a visible manifestation of the battle between right and wrong.”
He continued: The United States, which sought to be present in two strategic regions, namely Afghanistan and Iraq, left Afghanistan and Iraq after 20 years.
He added: “The UAE, Saudi Arabia and Turkey support the Zionist regime and the United States and seek the formation of a new Middle East, and it was the current of resistance that stood against the United States and did not allow the formation of a new Middle East.”
The deputy of the Quds Force of the IRGC also emphasized: the current of resistance and pure Islam will change the future of the world.
The Secretary of the Memorial also presented statistics on the self-sacrifice of Afghan warriors, stating: More than 3,500 Afghan martyrs have been sacrificed during the Islamic Revolution, the Holy Defense and the Resistance Front.
Hojjatoleslam Sajjadi added: “Also, 52 freedmen of the holy defense and some of them are missing due to the honors of the presence of Afghan forces in defending the ideals of the Islamic system.”
The Secretary of the Afghan Martyrs’ Memorial called for the removal of obstacles to the unity of the two nations of Iran and Afghanistan, the creation of a joint army to prepare for the advent and the defense of the ideals of the Islamic system under the provincial flag.
He also appreciated the sincere cooperation of the Office of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution in Qom, the General Office of Qom Citizens, Imam Ali Ibn Abitaleb (AS) Corps, the General Office for Preservation and Dissemination of Sacred Defense Values, the Martyr and Veterans Affairs Foundation and Qom Central Broadcasting.
Sardar Hossein Kaji, a narrator and a veteran of the Holy Defense and the head of the Epic 17 Institute, also stated that the tombs of 41 Afghan martyrs of the Holy Defense are located in the flower gardens of the martyrs of Qom. He went and defended Islam in the destruction unit of the 17th Division. This martyr said before his martyrdom that he would become a martyr and do not forget me.
The commander of the Afghan Fighters Brigade, Abu Dharr, also stated in the Holy Defense: “We are one of the first groups that left Iran to help Afghanistan during the Soviet war.”
Pointing out that the formation of the Fatimid Division, the defenders of the Afghan shrine, is one of the blessings of the holy defense, Sardar Hakimi said: “During the eight years of the holy defense, the Afghan brothers vigorously defended the achievements of the Islamic Revolution.”
At the end of the ceremony, the families of the Afghan martyrs of the Holy Defense, as well as the families of the martyrs Alireza Tavassoli and Mehdi Saberi, the martyrs of the Fatimids, were honored.
