The formation of Iran’s naval alliance with the countries of the region worried America – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr News Agency, quoted by Breaking Defense, Tim Hawkins, the spokesman of the US Fifth Fleet and Joint Naval Forces, expressed Washington’s concern about the possibility of forming a naval alliance with the participation of Iran and regional countries in hostile statements while accusing Tehran.

In an interview with Breaking Defense, Hawkins said that Iran, the main cause of instability in the region, claims to form a maritime security coalition, it is not reasonable to make false accusations against Tehran. It is to protect the same waters that threaten it.

He claimed: Action must be taken, and for this reason, we and our partners are strengthening our defense forces around the Strait of Hormuz.

Amir Shahram Irani, the commander of the Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, recently said that Iran and Saudi Arabia, along with the three Persian Gulf countries, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain, are planning to form a naval coalition that includes Iraq, India and Pakistan. they will be. Although Amir Irani did not provide more details about this, he said that the countries of the region have come to the understanding that they can ensure the security of the region only by cooperating and interacting with each other.

According to Breaking Defense, the statements of a senior Iranian military commander will definitely surprise others besides the US Fifth Fleet, which is stationed in Bahrain, because it not only means that the relations between Tehran and Riyadh have heated up to such an extent that they are going to form an alliance with each other. Moreover, New Delhi and Islamabad, which have been enemies for a long time, will cooperate closely in the field of open seas.

These statements were made a few days after the United Arab Emirates announced about two months ago that it had withdrawn from the maritime security coalition in the Middle East known as the CMF, which is led by the United States.

This coalition, which was launched in 2001, initially had 12 members, but now it includes the forces of 38 countries and claims that it works to fight terrorism and also fight piracy in the Red Sea and Persian Gulf regions.

Bilal Saab, a senior member and director of the Middle East think tank’s defense and security program, said: You cannot leave a coalition that does not have an official membership. CMF is completely based on voluntary membership, so it is possible to suspend participation and help and not show up for exercises like before, and none of them are mandatory. It is clear that Abu Dhabi has a problem with America, and in this way, it has expressed its displeasure and the whole issue is political.
