The four arches of Gozd Gonabad will be restored

Hamidreza Mahmoudi Qozhdi announced this news, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Khorasan Razavi, Hamidreza Mahmoudi Qozhdi, adding: This historical cultural work belongs to the Qajar period, which is registered in the list of national monuments of Iran under number 12923 dated August 19, 2004. It has arrived, it will be restored with the cooperation and participation of the Islamic Council and the villagers of Qozd village.
The head of Gonabad city’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department continued: Qozhed square is one of the few remaining square in the city, like the Deloi square, which was built as a tomb architecture in old cemeteries.
Mahmoudi Qozhdi added: This type of architecture is the continuation of the architecture of the fire temples of the Sassanid and Parthian period in terms of plan, which continued until the contemporary period in this region.
He clarified: Bishan with a square plan, which is covered with Colombo and Irgchin porcelain bricks, is a common example of four-story buildings, and forms the architectural elements of four-story buildings in Gozd.
The head of Gonabad city’s cultural heritage, handicrafts and handicrafts department stated that the structural damage caused by the action of natural factors over the years as well as the lack of care has aggravated the physical wear and tear of this work, adding: the brick covering is due to the crushing and wear of the mortar between the bricks with the complication of cracks. He said: The lower parts of the walls are also damaged due to rising moisture from the rainfall, which has led to wear and tear of materials and materials.
The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Gonabad city continued: The basics of intervention in this building will be done in the form of a comprehensive restoration, respecting the originality, integrity and reversibility.
Mahmoudi Qozhdi said: According to the initial estimates, the cost of restoration of this work is about one billion Rials, which is done with the participation of the Islamic Council and the village village in order to restore the work.
Gonabad city has 177 works registered in the list of national works of Iran and more than dozens of tourist attractions.
Gonabad city is located at a distance of 270 km from the south of Mashhad.
