The full draft version of the digital Rial document was published

At the beginning of this week, an unofficial version of the document of Iran’s national digital currency project titled “Draft Digital Rial Document” was published. Recently, however, the full version of this draft has been published, in which the national digital currency project of the Central Bank of Iran has been examined in more detail.
According to Erzdigital, after the initial and incomplete version of the digital Rial project document was published at the beginning of the week, the full version of this document has just been published; But the central bank has not yet issued an announcement about the content of this draft.

This file is version number one of the draft document of Iran’s national digital currency project, and as stated in the text of the draft, this document is still being edited and is not the final version.
In the opening pages, it is said about the purpose of the central bank in preparing this document:
The purpose of preparing this document is to create a platform to explain the goals, dimensions, threats and development opportunities of the digital rial of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Considering the vast dimensions and the little-known and interdisciplinary nature of this phenomenon, it seems necessary to examine the requirements and effects of the central bank’s digital rial development from economic, technical and business points of view. This document tries to draw a suitable perspective of the central bank’s digital rial coordinates for the stakeholders of the issue by reviewing the various aspects of the issue.
The first part of this document is dedicated to the explanation of the basic definitions, and in the following parts about the technical aspects of this project, including how to produce and publish the digital rial, the process of making transactions, the benefits of implementing Iran’s national digital currency, possible threats and costs, and so on. Explanations are provided.
At the end of this document, the Central Bank has asked all experts active in related fields to send their opinions to this organization.
It should be mentioned that Ali Salehabadi, the Governor General of the Central Bank of Iran, had previously announced that the national digital currency of Iran will be launched in September this year on a trial basis.
