The Galaxy Z Fold 4 phone was introduced with a powerful chip and new features

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is now 3.1 mm thinner than the previous generation, while its thickness reaches 67.1 mm when closed (just like the Z Fold 3). However, the thinner bezels allow Samsung to make the display 2.7mm wider, resulting in a 23:9 aspect ratio (from 24.5:9).
A look at the technical specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 4
When it comes to Galaxy Z Fold 4, its specifications should definitely challenge the competition. The Korean giant has used a powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip for this model, along with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory (up to 1 TB). In total, we will have three Z Fold 4 models, which will be released in 256 and 512 GB capacities, along with a 1 TB model (for some regions).
The newest member of the Galaxy Z Fold family is 2 mm wider when unfolded. The total weight of the device is now 8 grams lighter and reaches 263 grams. In the open state, the diameter of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 display reaches 7.6 inches in the open state and 6.2 inches in the closed state. Among the important features of this device’s display are Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, adaptive refresh rate up to 120 Hz, support for HDR 10 Plus and maximum brightness of 1200 nits.
The camera area under the display has a higher pixel density, which makes it less visible. The main display and the back panel are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus Plus. The device supports IPX8 certification for water resistance (it can be submerged in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes). Also, Galaxy Z Fold 4 is guaranteed to withstand 200,000 times of opening and closing.
Samsung has used the same setup as the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus for the rear cameras of the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The main 50-megapixel module with a larger sensor can now absorb 23% more light. Other improvements of this camera include OIS and EIS features. Also, the new 10-megapixel telephoto module can now show details from a closer view thanks to 3x zoom (up from 2x on the Z Fold 3), and the Space Zoom function can provide the user with up to 30x digital zoom.
Better facilities, more productivity!
There is also a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens on the back, which has not changed much compared to the previous models of Samsung’s flagship phones. The camera on the display cover is equipped with a 10 megapixel lens and the camera under the display is equipped with a 4 megapixel lens. The battery capacity is 4400 mAh as before and supports 25W fast charger. The charging time of the device from 0 to 50% takes only 30 minutes.
Samsung has worked with its partners to deliver an improved and seamless software experience. Now the ZFold taskbar is located at the bottom of the screen like on a desktop computer (similar to DeX), which gives you instant access to your favorite programs. For example, you can have Facebook and Facebook Messenger apps side by side (or three or more apps at the same time). Also, Facebook has optimized its app for the 7.6-inch screen to provide a unique experience to the user.
Other popular apps, including Netflix, Disney, YouTube Plus and Microsoft Teams, have been optimized for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 to be best enjoyed in the folded (and unfolded) mode. Some programs such as Office, Teams and Google Mate offer a tablet-like performance, especially in full screen mode.
There is another mode called Flex, through which you can fold the screen to a half-open state and a position similar to a laptop. This makes the built-in camera a great option for video calling without the need for a tripod or special tools. The S Pen has now brought some other interesting features to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, along with the improvements of the past.
Price and delivery time
Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be released soon at a price of 1,800 USD/EUR (for the 12/256GB model). Also, the 12/512GB model will be available at a price of $1,920 and the 12GB RAM model with 1TB of internal storage will be available at a price of $2,160. Also, this device will be available with Android 12 system and in three colors black, cream and gray.
