The foreign policy official of the European Union thanked the United Nations and Turkey for reviving the grain agreement while his statements in late October about comparing Europe to a “garden” and comparing other parts of the world to a “forest” made news.

The European Union’s foreign policy official has welcomed the revival of this agreement in a situation where the economic crisis, the increase in food prices and the sharp rise in energy prices in Europe during the past weeks have caused demonstrations in several European countries.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia announced on Wednesday (yesterday) that after receiving security guarantees from Ukraine, Moscow’s participation in the grain export agreement has continued.

According to this ministry, Kiev has guaranteed not to use the transit passage of grain ships as well as Ukrainian ports for military operations against Russia.
