The people of the 17th festival had and have a different mood, from the very first moments of meeting at the airport to travel to the Persian Gulf, the spark of joint activities of the artists of this field was ignited, and these days they have turned the tourist village of Pazargad into the global village of resistance cinematographers.

What stands out more than anything else in this important cultural and artistic event is the familiarity and expansion of relations between young cinematographers and cinema veterans in the field of resistance. These days, the tourism village has become the university of resistance cinema, and each of its participants are students who are hungry for experience and learning and have a bright future.

Simultaneously with the screening of the works of this event in cinemas across the country, the resistance festival started its educational workshops in different departments with the presence of veteran cinematographers in the field of resistance. In these workshops, many well-known faces have appeared and are making an important part of the history of resistance cinema and sacred defense of the country.

From Mohsen Yousefi, the director and screenwriter who made the documentary “Belta”, to figures like Ansieh Shahhosseini, who is the first female Iranian fighter who made a film on the subject of the Iran-Iraq war, and Mohammad Reza Islamlou, who graduated from the university’s Faculty of Communication and Television. He is from Texas and after graduation he will return to Iran and work in the field of holy defense and resistance. In this resistance cinema training village, they have gathered together to inform the filmmakers of the festival about their knowledge and experiences.

In these workshops, Saeed Mohsen Yousefi welcomed the cinematographers with the topic of “editing on paper” and Seyed Mehdi Mirghiashi challenged their minds with the topic of “one-man film” on how to use the minimum to create a good and meaningful work.

Also, in a workshop titled “Women and resistance cinema”, Ansieh Shahhosseini discussed the important and constructive aspects of women’s face in the field of resistance and its colorful role in the path of martyrs, and Mohammad Reza Islamlou discussed new dimensions in a workshop titled “Capitalist world and resistance cinema”. Experiences field programs. Among the examples of the field programs of these workshops, we can mention the visit of cinematographers to the heights overlooking the Gulf of Fas refineries. In this visit, which was held with the presence of a group of cinematographers who made it to the final stage of the festival, along with staff members and invited professors, the cinematographers got to know new dimensions of the country’s oil industry, which has been built with resistance and persistence and relying on local knowledge and strength. They found suitable situations and subjects that can be used to create the film works of the festival in the coming years.

Another attraction of this festival in the village where it lives is the presence of foreign cinematographers who sometimes understand Persian and have the opportunity to communicate with the Iranians of the festival. These foreign guests have an active presence in various programs of the festival and show significant actions and reactions. The meeting of artists from all over the world who are active in the field of resistance can be a starting point for the creation and production of joint works for the festival in the coming years. At the same time, in these meetings, new windows of resistance are opened for cinematographers, because in every country and in every geographical part of the world, each of them has some kind of resistance and standing.

Also, if we take a tour in the village, we will come across spontaneous groups of young filmmakers who have formed on the sidelines of the workshops and are trying to get the maximum scientific use and practical experience from the opportunity of the festival.
