The government pays part of the mortgage installments / Denial of 7 million Tomans national housing installments

According to Tejarat News, Mahmoud Mahmoudzadeh today denied the 7 million Toman installments of the National Housing Movement support plan mentioned in some media, adding: “The announced figure is based on 18% interest, which is the method of payment of the banking system. It will pay for half to one-fifth of the facilities. Accordingly, the final installment figure will reach less than half of this amount.

He explained: in the plan of the National Housing Movement, the government relies on the resources of the National Housing Fund to pay a part of the interest of the household facilities and in no way are all the households going to pay the installments of the National Housing Movement based on 18% interest.

The Deputy Minister of Housing and Construction of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development stated: From the beginning, the government decided to stabilize the resources of the housing sector, empower households and enable them to participate in the National Movement, based on the National Housing Fund and its budget. Target groups of the first to fifth deciles pay a significant portion of the facility interest to the banking system with government assistance.

He continued: “At the same time, the amount of installments paid is in line with the household’s ability, and the amount of installments will be announced soon, and the amount of the fund’s resources depends on the budget law.”

According to IRNA, the National Housing Movement is one of the 13th major policies of the 13th government in the field of housing, which plans to build four million housing units in four years. Repayment of loan installments of this plan, which is divided into three parts: partnership, self-ownership and support, is different, and part of the repayment of loans for support groups is to be paid by the government.

Recently, the Housing Bank announced the 7 million Toman installments of the 450 million Toman loan of the National Movement, which the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development denied, emphasizing the government’s assistance in paying the installments.

From the beginning, the 13th government declared the lack of financial resources necessary to empower the people in order to expand the supply of housing to various segments, especially the deprived sector of society, as one of the major challenges.

The government is trying to provide the resources needed to reduce the benefits of banking facilities and part of the cost of providing housing for low-income households.

Interest rates on bank facilities and high installments beyond the affordability of housing facilities for low- and middle-income households have been identified as important challenges. A bank has been appointed to pay for long-term facilities.
